Korean Drama: One Mom and Three Dads (아빠셋 엄마하나) Episode 4

In the fourth episode, we see a repeat of the panic of child birth in a dark and empty hospital. We finally see a nurse coming out and she goes into the surgery room. The guys wait outside impatiently. She comes back out alone. Looks like a false alarm! The guys try to be polite and bring her home, but the car battery died. Guess they gotta get out of the car and push. haha... Come on guys, put your back into it! The night just gets worse and worse.

After 10 days past her due date, her doctor suggests surgery but she wants a natural birth. Sometime later, she's at home and she is timing her contractions, so it won't be another false alarm. She finally gives up and takes a taxi to a new hospital that just opened. It is their first birth, so the doctor and nurses are nervous. She calls the guys one at a time. The stock broker has just signed a "big fish" (aka a wealthy client) and the client is talking about how he hears the stock broker is single and he has a daughter... when the phone rings. He ignores the call. The manga artist is on a date teaching the girl how to draw when he gets the call and jumps up from shock. The cop is busy chasing a guy and just handcuffs him when he gets the call. The cop faints, the manga artist craps his pants, the stock broker finally arrives and they all encourage her to push... and you hear a baby cry. YAY! A beautiful baby girl. The manga artist cuts the cord.

The kid is hilarious with spunk. The nurse holds her up behind the window of the hospital nursery and the three guys are making silly faces at her. She goes, "Who are these guys? Are they my daddies? Are they trying to make me smile? *scoff* They aren't even funny." How cute is that? The guys are extremely attached to the child. They each start saying the child is like themselves... when she comes around the corner and talks of how she wishes her husband could see the child.

As the guys help her out with the nursery room, they find letters and post cards the mother decided to write to her deceased husband. She writes about how she misses him, but she is going to toughen up and be a good mother. She also writes about how the guys are helping her and she is very grateful. The guys go visit their deceased friend and they find out they each have work emergencies. She is left at the hospital sitting there alone with her baby waiting for the guys to pick her up, but they are all busy. She decides to just go home on her own. My heart breaks for her since she has to do everything herself.

After some instances, such as the buildup of milk problem, and the problem of paying her father's debt, she is forced to look for work again. However, being a mommy and working just doesn't seem very promising. She finally lucks out and bumps into a friend. The friend asks her to wear a uniform, but her stomach is still big and it is a tight fit. After a pretty good interview, she is having trouble breathing. She takes a deep breath an pops the button on the jacket. Like that's not embarrassing enough, the button flies and hits this guy on the cheek AND falls into his coffee. Talk about bad luck! She quickly walks off trying not to cause a scene, but the guy gives it back to her. And the episodes ends. What will happen next? Who is that guy? Until the next episode...
